Living in Bubión

Bubión occupies the middle position in the Poqueira Gorge - above Pampaneira's day-visitor bustle but below Capileira's exposed heights - and tends to attract the most settled long-term foreign residents of the three villages.

It has a handful of restaurants, a small rural hotel, and a calm, unhurried pace that suits people who have deliberately chosen to leave urban life behind.
