HolaGranada

About us

Local people helping you move to Granada

HolaGranada was founded to give foreigners moving to Granada the honest, practical, English-speaking help they actually need. We are based here, we know the city, and we work for you - not for landlords or agents.

Our story

We know how it feels to move to a new country and face an unfamiliar rental market, a language you don't yet speak, and bureaucracy that seems designed to confuse. We started HolaGranada because we saw newcomers making the same costly mistakes - paying deposits on properties that didn't exist, signing contracts they didn't understand, and getting stuck in endless appointments.

Our mission is simple: to be the local friend you wish you had when moving to Granada. Honest advice, real legwork, and someone to call when things go wrong.

What we stand for

Honesty first

We tell you the truth, including when something is a bad idea. We are not paid by landlords or agents, so our advice stays on your side.

Local knowledge

We live in Granada. We know the neighbourhoods, the market, and how the bureaucracy really works - not the tourist version.

Practical help

We do the legwork: searching, translating, coordinating, and showing up at appointments so you don't have to face it alone.

The team

Søren

Founder

Søren has lived in the UK, the US, Thailand, Denmark, and Spain - so he knows a thing or two about moving countries. He has called Granada home for more than 20 years and founded HolaGranada to give newcomers the honest, practical help he wished he'd had when he arrived.

Ryan

Documents & Legal

Ryan is our documents expert. He handles the paperwork-heavy side of relocation - NIE applications, legal contracts, rental agreements, and real estate transactions - so nothing slips through the cracks.

Lili

Relocation Support

Originally from Mexico, Lili is fluent in both English and Spanish. She brings warmth and cultural fluency to every client interaction, helping you feel at home from day one.

Isabella

Student & Settling-In Support

Born and raised in Granada and fully bilingual, Isabella is our go-to for students and anyone navigating university enrolment, local life, and getting settled. She knows the city inside out.
