One of the biggest draws of Granada is how affordable it is compared with most of Western Europe. Here is what daily life actually costs.

Rent is the biggest variable

A room in a shared flat is roughly €300–€450, a one-bedroom apartment roughly €600–€850, and a family apartment roughly €800–€1,300 depending heavily on neighbourhood.

Eating out is genuinely cheap

Granada's free-tapas tradition means a drink and a snack often costs under €3.50, and a set lunch runs €12–€15. Groceries for one are roughly €35–€55 a week.

Sample budgets

  • Student sharing: roughly €700–€950 per month all in
  • Couple in a one-bed: roughly €1,400–€1,900 per month
  • Family in a three-bed: roughly €2,000–€2,800 per month
